Noir Essentials

My black iPhone case, Stila waterproof eyeliner, mini sketchbook, and oversized round vintage shades have been very useful during my stay here in Virginia. I guess the whole ‘black’ thing is just coincidental or maybe my subconscious has been steering towards anything of that nature.

I just started wearing Stila’s liquid waterproof eyeliner like a week ago and I don’t know why I am just now introducing this to my face. I have this thing where my eyeliner tends to fall down the half of my face right after applying and it’s the saddest thing ever. EVER. I’m constantly correcting my face by smearing my fingers across my waterline every minute of the day. I feel bad for the people that happen to be staring right at me witnessing this process take into play. Anyway, talking about how upset I am about this is not the point, the point is that I am completely in love with Stila’s liquid waterproof eyeliner! I apply it on my upper lid and lower waterline; it doesn’t fall and stays on the entire day. Wow, I guess this sort of sounds like an infomercial so I will stop right here. Thank the heavens for this product!

Butterflies And Hair

Recently, my hair was saved from further embarrassment by none other than the hair police. I was in dying need of new roots and healthier ends so I decided to take action. I was brought to the Butterfly Loft and was extremely impressed at the interior of the salon. I loved idea of a salon in a loft so this made my experience, to come in and get my ends chopped off, pretty rad. Along with my first impression of the salon’s interior, everyone was extremely kind and sweet (amazing people). I met with Jessica and she, of course, could tell I had been neglecting my hair for quite sometime. As embarrassing as it was explain to her what I had been doing wrong with my hair, I knew that she would make magic. Below are the products that she used on me. They smell orgasmic and work wonders.

Wa-la, so here’s the finished look. Don’t mind my hair styling skills that I’m lacking, I love how the colour turned out! Jessica gave me a few layers to work with, dyed my roots, and unexpectedly snuck a few highlights in. I’m so ready for summa time now. I couldn’t help but constantly flip my hair (you guys will see in the next post) because of how much lighter my hair feels.

Coachella Inspiration

Coachella
T by Alexander Wang Tank
All Saints Skirt

Coachella is right around the corner so I thought I’d pull a few items together to show you guys what I would wear if I were going this year. No, I am not going to Coachella this year because I’m going to be busy around that time with moving around. I went to Coachella two years ago and did not know exactly what I was in for. The weather was so hot during the day that it literally was a chore to move around amongst the heat and keep my face from melting (hence the Chanel foundation for light coverage). The events were nice and much more cooling under the umbrellas and sitting areas. Everyone there was trendy and stylish (but comfortable) and of course the music set the perfect mood. If I were going this year, I’d wear a simple light tank with a nice statement bottom (in this case an all beaded skirt from All Saints works), and some motor-boots. Accessories are always nice to wear to a music festival so I would stack up on bracelets and rings. Kind of a bad-ass bohemian look. Perfect-o.
