Parkside in my new leather Zara shorts (that I will commit to wear with everything) and vintage sweater will most likely be one of my many key pieces for the rest of Spring. The weather here in L.A. has been putting me in such a light and joyful mood it makes me want to do cartwheels.

A few shots taken a couple of weeks ago around Lancaster Desert. The faux fur scarf was a hopeful add-in [for the sake of posting].

I’m extremely picky when it comes to shorts. I have to be able to love the fit, colour, and style to want it. I found some almost to perfect ones from Zara and decided, well, why not? It’s as close to my ideal theory of how shorts (or hot pants) should fit on a little petite girl like me. The sweater is from Korea that I picked up from a random store, in a hidden corner, and decided that it was coming along with me back to the Americas. I promised one of you guys (via formspring) that I would making posts of how I wear shorts in the spring time..

I swear I’m a very organized person but sometimes I slip and allow piles of clothes to stack up in my closet. Everything simply starts to accumulate from neglect or just procrastination. Digging through my pile of junk, I came across my abandoned grey boyfriend jeans that I purchased from Korea a couple years ago. I’m glad I found it because it went great with my new Mango belt.

Coachella Inspiration

Coachella
T by Alexander Wang Tank
All Saints Skirt

Coachella is right around the corner so I thought I’d pull a few items together to show you guys what I would wear if I were going this year. No, I am not going to Coachella this year because I’m going to be busy around that time with moving around. I went to Coachella two years ago and did not know exactly what I was in for. The weather was so hot during the day that it literally was a chore to move around amongst the heat and keep my face from melting (hence the Chanel foundation for light coverage). The events were nice and much more cooling under the umbrellas and sitting areas. Everyone there was trendy and stylish (but comfortable) and of course the music set the perfect mood. If I were going this year, I’d wear a simple light tank with a nice statement bottom (in this case an all beaded skirt from All Saints works), and some motor-boots. Accessories are always nice to wear to a music festival so I would stack up on bracelets and rings. Kind of a bad-ass bohemian look. Perfect-o.
