(shirt: mom’s shirt inside out, jeans: bought in korea, heels: Zara, bag: Proenza Schouler)

I used to have a bad habit of wearing things inside out as a child. I think I maybe heading towards that route again, starting with my mom’s old shirt. I may need to be careful of my selections to pull this off.

(shirt: Theyskens’ Theory, jeans/shoes: Zara, bag: Proenza Schouler, shades: Ray-Ban)

I love this high-low hem on this Theory shirt, thinking about making it my go-to basic piece for the summer. The fit is awesome too; I never knew a basic shirt could have such an effect. Sometimes simple says it all.

(shirt: J. Crew/similar one here, belt: H&M, pants: Minusey, shoes: Theyskens Theory Edna Aby Pump)

On the way to Griffith Park Observatory one minute and road kill the next. Decided optimism was a good route for a photo op when Sophie and I came across this tunnel at the observatory. Surprisingly the tunnel was a bit busy that day and got just about every car honking at us..Oops!

These pants from Minusey look guiltily too similar to Isabel Marant’s Navajo Jeans in white don’t they? I guess this is a fair substitution given the fact that I missed out on the once-in-a-life-time sale for the original ones. I wanted a clean look, paired it with a basic white shirt and black pumps, not that the white on white pairing is so original but of course timeless.

(shirt: vintage, skirt: American Apparel, shades: Karen Walker, shoes: Steve Madden)

Other than endless lines of palm trees in L.A., I rarely, almost never, come across a line of oak trees. Immediately my eyes were super glued to them as I was making a left turn into a random street (my way of a U-turn) and thought to myself ‘Oh man..blog post!’ A great deal of narcissism uprooted from my subconcious, not proud to say, but I’ve been back on humble land.

Wearing one of my favorite skirts from American Apparel that I will love to death paired with an old shabby shirt that looks like it’s been passed down from generations.  Shabby and feminine, my idea of perfection.

(denim shirt: Madewell, old jeans, shoes: Zara)

I swear I’ve been searching for the perfect denim shirt and I scored big time when I came across this one from Madewell. The fit is shrunken with a beautiful dark wash. I like the playful button placement on the pockets; it makes it more special. Something so basic is so necessary.
