(tank: Theyskens’ Theory, trousers/heels: Zara, shades: Ray-Ban)

White trouser pants, where have you been all my life? I can’t believe I haven’t owned a pair until now. These trousers from Zara are too perfect for this summer’s heatwave. I’m so use to wearing denim all the time I completely forgot how comfortable baggy trousers are. I even broke out the Hammer dance when no one was around. Another simple look with a basic navy tank and heels that resemble Alexander Wang’s Liya heels almost to a tee.

I’m starting to think that I’m excluding all of the colours and shades other than neutrals, blacks, grays, and blues from my summer wardrobe. I’m lacking a bit of colour, in other words. I’m not exactly a neon person per se but I promised myself to try and stray from my usual comfort colours. I guess subconsciously I have that habit (and I’m sure many of you can relate) of grabbing the first white shirt I see not even acknowledging the other colour options behind. Stepping out of the box is my ultimate goal this summer, along with my big move across country. We’ll see how this works out; although, I’m not to fond of drastic change.

(shirt: J. Crew/similar one here, belt: H&M, pants: Minusey, shoes: Theyskens Theory Edna Aby Pump)

On the way to Griffith Park Observatory one minute and road kill the next. Decided optimism was a good route for a photo op when Sophie and I came across this tunnel at the observatory. Surprisingly the tunnel was a bit busy that day and got just about every car honking at us..Oops!

These pants from Minusey look guiltily too similar to Isabel Marant’s Navajo Jeans in white don’t they? I guess this is a fair substitution given the fact that I missed out on the once-in-a-life-time sale for the original ones. I wanted a clean look, paired it with a basic white shirt and black pumps, not that the white on white pairing is so original but of course timeless.

I can’t believe I’ve never been to Chinatown after all the years of living in L.A but I finally had the experience to go yesterday. I had dinner at the Yang Chow Restaurant and ordered mixed vegetables with a bowl of rice. So good! If you have never been to Chinatown, I highly recommend that place. Wearing a printed silk blouse from Zara, I really love this print. It reminds me of scarf prints, or as my friend called it the ‘Versace print, which I love.

The Dilemma

(dress: thifted, coat/shoes: Zara)

The dress is a bit too revealing for a real life situation (real life meaning going out and wearing in public). I guess I could layer a blouse or shirt under it but thought it would be appropriate to wear the dress (as is) due to the isolate location. Usually, before I make purchases on clothes, I try to map out all the possibilities of me wearing it. If those possibilities do not weigh out, I walk away from it. I would have walked away from this dress but I convinced myself to reason making ownership of it because 1) It would make a cool post and 2) I don’t own any white dresses. I like it though, it’s cool.

Take Two

(Sparkle & Fade button-down, H&M shorts, Aldo wedge sandals)

Took this the same day as the post below. I had to change out of the sweater because realistically I wouldn’t have been able to function throughout the day in it, being that it is summer. BUTinstead, I changed into this oversized button-down shirt that is super light and comfortable. Oh, and isn’t the door above and behind me just great?
